Mishka Hoosen is a writer, editor, and researcher based in Cape Town, South Africa. They are a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing program at Rhodes University. They are the author of Road Trip with James Dean (Flomotion, 2011), and the novel, Call it a difficult night (Deep South Books, 2015). Their work has appeared in Catapult, New Coin, The Ploughshares Blog, The Missing Slate, and more. After apprenticing as a perfumer for a year, they are currently working on a novel about perfume, folklore, and queerness.
